Woman —- is a word that hold up a lot of images in our minds and brings out varied emotions as selfless love, epitome of love, sacrifice, caring attitude and ability of nurturing . Who is a woman?

A daughter,A wife A mom,A sister various roles she plays. We women are the beautiful creation of the God! The angels we are on the earth we make life wonderful all together. Imagining life without a woman is quite difficult isn’t it?. This angel shakes the cradle with one hand and the earth with the other hand. The fact that all the great people of the world are born from the womb of a woman and it is a woman who has taught the basics of life to these great peoples. And that is the reasom why we should respect a woman.

And that is why women’s day is celebrated with so much of zeal and it has spread throughout the world.
It all started in 1908, when 15,000 women marched through New York City demanding shorter working hours, better payment or equal payment to that of their male companions and the right to vote. It was the Socialist Party of America who declared the first National Woman’s Day, a year later.


Women from various cultural and ethnic groups come together to struggle for peace, justice, equality and development. An equal world is an enabled world.People should work together to create a gender equal world.
Women fought with all odds to emerge as a winners. Courageous women like Lakshmibai, Indira Gandhi, Hellen Keller etc are few examples who fought for equality and dignity.
March 8th is observed as international woman’s day every year around the world to celebrate the velour of women.Around the world the day is used to recognize women who’ve made various significant contributions to the advancement of their gender.Gradually , society is changing and paving the way for the growth and development of women. Women have made strides in the field for example in education, healthcare, equality, and job opportunity,right for voting etc.
The past two decades the world has made incredible progress and innovation.but no country has achieved gender equality.
Last year

#me too campaign was started globally where women used to come up with their stories being molested by men.So,can we say that women are secured? Although they have progressed ,still to go more.Long is our journey to earn a secured place in our society.
On this international women’s day ,women from all different backgrounds and cultures join together to fight for gender parity and women’s rights.

Celebration of International Women’s Day 2020

This year, International Women’s Day will be celebrated with the special 2020 theme, #EachforEqual. “Collectively, we women join can eachother and help to create a gender equal world.
The Generation Equality campaign this year has a motto to unite people of every gender,race, age, ethnicity, religion and country to take actions that will create the gender-equal world we all deserve.
Together, we want to mobilize to end gender-based violence; economic justice and rights for all; bodily autonomy, sexual and reproductive health and rights; and feminist action for climate justice. We want technology and innovation for gender equality; and feminist leadership.

Small actions can have big impacts in making our vision true. On International Women’s Day, join #GenerationEquality and become part of the movement.

Let’s all be #EachforEqual.”Be unite and strengthen eachother to achieve success in our path.
On this women’s day let’s join the campaign wearing purple dress which significe justice and dignity, the color purple has become an international symbol for women since the origination of purple, green, and white as a symbol of women’s equality from the Women’s Social and Political Union in the UK in 1908.Let’s share our pledges and messages on social media using the hashtag #IWD2020.
